Our Story
Since opening our doors on Co Rd 222, The Powder Keg has been the Chattahoochee Valley's destination for hunters, reloaders, and outdoor enthusiasts who refuse to compromise on quality.
We stock only the brands we'd put in our own gear bags — from match-grade ammunition to rugged field clothing, from precision reloading dies to the camouflage that keeps you unseen. Every product on our shelves earns its place through performance, not marketing.
Our team lives this lifestyle. When you walk in, you're talking to people who've tracked game in these woods and loaded rounds by lamplight. That experience shows in every recommendation we make.
What We Carry
Hunting rounds, target loads, and competition-grade ammunition from the nation's most trusted manufacturers. In stock daily.

Camouflage clothing, tree stands, calls, game bags, and field accessories from brands that hold up in Alabama's toughest terrain.

Hunter education resources, range information, and advice from folks who've spent decades in these woods. Stop by and say hello.
Inside the Keg
From the Field
Best selection of reloading supplies in the area. The staff actually knows their stuff — helped me dial in a new load I've been chasing for months.
We drive from two counties over because nobody else carries the brands we trust. Fair prices, honest advice, and they always have what you need in stock.
Took my son hunting for the first time this season. They had everything — gear, ammo, and the patience to explain why each piece mattered. Can't recommend them enough.
